PLASTIC-FREE SUSTAINABLE DENTAL CARE
After my instagram live last month with the amazing Dr Rhona - London’s most sought-after dentist and co-founder of the incredible PARLA toothpaste tablets, I have been keen to share a round-up of environmentally friendly and plastic-free dental products. I love how dental care is now is being seen as part of our beauty and wellness rituals thanks to beautifully designed and sustainable oral care brands. This makes looking after our teeth more fun and certainly inspires better habits.
I also realised that this week marked the beginning of National Smile Month : a campaign run by the oral Health foundation in the UK from May 17th to June 17th to promote good oral health. So it was certainly perfect timing to share a post about eco-friendly dental products that protect people’s smiles without costing the Earth.
Here is a round up of my favourite plastic-free and environmentally friendly products that are good for your teeth and good for the planet.

Traditional dental floss is made with nylon which takes hundreds of years to biodegrade and is also coated with nasty chemicals. An easy eco-friendly alternative is the plastic-free corn-based dental floss by Brushd which is biodegradable, coated with candelilla wax and comes in a glass jar. No need to use plastic dental floss again.
